how does matching work?
we pair you with people who share your interests first. if there's no overlap, you get matched randomly — sometimes that's where the magic is.
is drift free?
yep, drift is free to download and start matching. some extra features may come later, but meeting people stays free.
someone's being weird. what do i do?
tap the flag icon on their profile or in-call to report, or block them instantly. pick a reason (spam, fake, nudity, harassment, underage) and our team takes it from there.
what are "stalkers"?

how do i delete my account?

by downloading or using drift, you agree to these terms. if you don't agree, that's okay — but you can't use the app. these terms are a legal agreement between you and Drift.
2. you must be 18+
drift is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. by using the app you confirm you're 18+. accounts belonging to minors will be removed. reporting suspected underage users helps keep everyone safe.
3. your account
you're responsible for the info on your profile and for keeping your login secure. don't impersonate anyone or create fake profiles. one person, one account.
4. how to behave
be a decent human. no harassment, hate speech, nudity, sexual content involving minors, spam, scams, or illegal activity. video calls are between real people — treat them with respect. breaking these rules gets you removed, no refunds, no appeals for serious violations.
5. content & conduct on calls
you own the content you share, but you grant us a limited license to operate the service. we may use automated and human moderation to keep the community safe. we don't record your private video calls.
6. ending things
you can delete your account any time (see delete account). we may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or put others at risk.
7. the boring but important part
drift is provided "as is." we can't guarantee you'll meet your soulmate, that the service will never go down, or that every user is who they say they are. to the extent allowed by law, we're not liable for interactions between users.
8. changes
we may update these terms as drift grows. we'll let you know about big changes in-app. continuing to use drift means you accept the updated terms.
the basics to make drift work: your name, date of birth, photos, interests, and gender. we also record some technical details about the device you sign up on — its make and model, android version, app version, android id and advertising id — along with the ip address your device connects from. we use those to spot people making throwaway accounts to get around a ban. drift does not collect or use your location.
how we use it
to match you with people who share your vibe, show your profile to potential matches, send you notifications about matches and sparks, and keep the community safe. we do not sell your personal data. full stop.
your video calls
video and audio calls are real-time and are not recorded or stored by us. what happens on a call stays between you and the other person.
child safety: our standards against csae
this section is drift's published standard against child sexual abuse and exploitation (csae). drift have zero tolerance for csae or for any sexualisation of a minor.
what is prohibited. using drift to create, share, request, or describe child sexual abuse material; sexualising, grooming, soliciting, or attempting to arrange contact with a minor; sharing a minor's images or personal details for sexual purposes; or misrepresenting your age in order to use the app. there is no warning for any of this — it ends the account.
how to report it. during a video call, tap the flag icon and choose underage or sexual content. the same screen lets you block the person immediately, which ends the call and prevents any further contact. for anything urgent, or for csae you encountered outside a call, email info@foxcybersolutions.co.in with “csae” in the subject line so it is prioritised.
what happens after a report. every report is reviewed by a person, not an automated filter. where csae is confirmed we permanently terminate and delete the account, preserve the relevant records for the authorities, and refer the matter to law enforcement and to the national center for missing & exploited children (ncmec) or the equivalent body in the relevant country. we co-operate fully with lawful requests in these cases.
only trusted service providers who help us run drift (like cloud hosting and push notifications), and authorities when legally required to keep people safe. that's it.
your rights
you can view and edit your profile any time, adjust notification and visibility settings, and delete your account and data whenever you want. see delete account.
no hard feelings. here's how to delete your account and everything tied to it. this can't be undone, so make sure you're sure.
how it works
deleting your drift account happens in two stages. you ask for it from inside the app, and then a person on our team reviews the request before anything is actually erased. that review step is there so an account can't be wiped by a mis-tap or by someone who picked up your unlocked phone — and it's why your account keeps working for a little while after you ask.
step by step, in the app

open drift and go to your profile. tap the person icon at the far right of the bar along the bottom of the screen.

open settings. tap the gear icon in the top right corner of your profile.

scroll to the bottom. under the heading account you'll find delete account in red, just above log out.

confirm. a box appears asking “request account deletion?”. tap request deletion. that single tap is the whole request — there's no form to fill in and nothing to email.

you're done. the app confirms with deletion requested, and your request goes into the queue for review.
what happens next
you stay signed in. drift doesn't log you out or lock the account when you request deletion. your profile is still visible, you can still match and video chat, and your matches can still call you. nothing has been removed yet.
a reviewer looks at the request. when they approve it, your account and its data are erased in one go and every signed-in session ends immediately — the app will drop back to the sign-in screen.
only one request at a time. while a request is waiting, tapping delete account again won't create a second one — the app will tell you a request is already in review.
changed your mind? there's no cancel button in the app. email help@drift.app from the address on your account before it's approved and ask us to reject the request, and your account carries on as normal.
what gets deleted
once a request is approved we permanently remove your profile and photos, your matches and sparks, likes you sent and received, your video-call history and reactions, your notifications, your blocked list and any reports you filed, and your saved sessions and device tokens. every signed-in session ends at that point.
we keep one thing: a record that the deletion happened, including the username it applied to. that's our audit trail for handling safety and fraud queries after an account is gone. it isn't linked to a usable account and can't be signed into.
once it's gone, it's gone — we can't bring an account back.
